Roles And Responsibilities:
- Develop and align your work plan, objectives, priorities and processes in the context of the overall management of the IT offer and the priorities and processes of the stakeholder community.
- Conducting global and regional strategic procurement activities to professionalize the procurement of materials / external spending groups within the spending responsibility area.
- Identify, initiate and sustain direct interactions with internal stakeholders / functional / operational teams within the company to guide the change in "purchasing" behavior necessary to achieve the corporate project objectives and facilitate the implementation of procurement strategies approved.
- Conduct data collection and internal needs analysis. Develop and follow the knowledge and understanding of the supply market (e.g. suppliers, price trends, cost factors, acquisitions and divestments, etc.).
- Develop appropriate procurement strategies for the spending cluster within the area of responsibility.
- Execute the procurement strategy, including tendering, analysis, selection and negotiation with suppliers, including creating and entering into legal agreements / contracts and confidentiality agreements, and ensure that all is conducted in accordance with Unilever's code of business ethics and corporate social responsibility requirements.
- Ensure that supply agreements, terms and conditions of business, specification information and pricing information, including changes, are communicated accurately and in a timely manner to the appropriate operational teams / individuals.
- Enable and facilitate the implementation of approved procurement strategies with appropriate functional and operational teams within the company.
- Responsible for the ongoing management of supplier relationships, monitoring, review and continuous improvement, as well as the leading supplier side of innovation / sustainability / cost saving projects.
- Identify the need and support the design of business processes to facilitate the use of the appropriate "buying channel" (eg Ariba Buyer, spot buying desk, etc.) within the UL stakeholder community.
- Develop a deep understanding and rigorously apply Unilever's strategic sourcing process and tools, including being fully operational and actively using e-Sourcing tools, e.g. use of e-RFI, e-RFP, cost modeling and others.
- Proactively respond to inquiries and questions from supply management operations teams and other internal parties as needed.
- Provide input, influence and link to business transaction tools (as appropriate), e.g. SAP BW, Ariba buyer.
- Have input for the development of a work plan of the supply management team by area of responsibility, to achieve the required objectives and, in this context, develop the priorities of their strategic procurement team.
- Participate or lead regional / global teams (as appropriate) for the area of responsibility.
