ABOUT THE job posts:
The selected person will work at the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC)
in Bangalore, India. Designs, develops and maintains complex databases. Creates procedures
for the design, implementation, and testing of database backup, recovery systems,database
migration and archiving systems and processes. Plans for implementation of
database security infrastructure.
- Consults with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations.
- Documents database management information in a common location that other team members can access.
- Guide to the successful completion of database-related projects.
- Develop and document database policies, procedures, and standards for PostgreSQL database systems.
- Proactively maintain database systems at the latest security patch levels.
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as, vacuum, re-indexing, and archiving.
- Migration from non-postgreSql platforms like Oracle, MS SQL Server
- Perform migrations between non-production and production environments.
- Implement database connection pooling and load balancing for large multi-user environments.
- Prepare and update project charters and project plans to the division’s Project Server.
- Administer and maintain the PostgreSQL database installations, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and on-call after hours and weekend support.
- Develop and document PostgreSQL database disaster recovery solutions, including configuring and implementing high availability (HA).
- Monitor and perform capacity planning for all PostgreSQL
- Perform database migration from on premises to cloud environment.
- Ability to handle the performance issues on Postgres databases.
- Having knowledge on oracle, MS-SQL database is preferred.
- Displays a spirit of wanting to learn more and do more while setting an example to the team.
- The selected person will also be responsible for supporting the development of internal skills and resources for key skills of the Boeing India digital aviation solution team.
- This position develops and maintains technical relationships / partnerships with customers, suppliers, colleagues, partners and team members to carry out projects.
- This position contains regular updates to Boeing management in the form of progress reports, project summaries and other related documents.
- This position will also be responsible for regular coordination and communication with experts from Boeing organizations around the world.
- This position will support initiatives by the Boeing India organization relating to technical excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer loyalty, etc.
JOB LOCATION FOR Boeing India pvt limited RECRUITMENT 2020:
- The Location for The internship is Bengaluru , Karnataka.

SKILL REQUIREMENT:
- Must have extensive hands on knowledge with Oracle RDBMS in a production environment.
- 5 to 8 year experience supporting databases in cloud technologies, like AWS.
- 5 to 8 year experience working with a DBA team.
- Demonstrates industry best practices and skills related to Oracle databases, RAC, backup and recovery, UNIX and Linux operating systems, and performance optimization
- Oracle Enterprise Manager experience; Oracle 12c Cloud Control Preferred.
- Experience in database management with Oracle 10g / 11g / 12c under Linux / Unix
- Experienced with Unix and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with database virtualization required.
- Oracle EBS 11i / 12 Apps DBA experience wanted
- Oracle EBS R12.2 Apps DBA experience wanted.
- PostgreSQL experience desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
- Displays excellent oral and written communication skills to team members, peers, customers and management
- Any relevant Industry Certifications is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Collaborate effectively with other team members
- Variable Shifts: Must be willing to work Variable shifts / Rotational shift.
